Students at The Institute are encouraged to take part in various opportunities to serve the wider community. Programs offered through Dartmouth's Tucker Foundation give students a chance to work in such settings as a Big Brother/Big Sister program with disadvantaged local youth. The Dartmouth Medical School Community Service Committee (CSC) is a student-run organization dedicated to community education and social service. The CSC sponsors fifteen student-run community service programs and provides a link between DMS students and the surrounding community. These programs are open to medical students and students of Institute graduate education programs. |
