Institute graduate programs build on a rigorous core curriculum that provides an understanding of the challenges facing the U.S. health care system and a firm grounding in the skills required to measure, organize, and improve public health and health care.
Master of Public Health A unique one-year program combining academic training and public health field experience. Master of Science
A one-year program focused on outcomes research and health care improvement. Students may focus in either of two concentrations, and may take an optional second year for thesis or internship.
 Doctor of Philosophy Through close working relationships between students and faculty, the PhD program prepares graduates to conduct innovative, independent research toward the ultimate goal of improving health care.  Post-Doctoral Fellowships
The Institute offers two post-doctoral programs involving in-depth research with a faculty mentor.
Joint Programs
Three joint programs are also offered through The Institute: MD/PhD and MD/MPH (or MS), both with Dartmouth Medical School, and MBA/MPH (or MS) with Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.
 Leadership Preventive Medicine Residency
The first preventive medicine residency of its kind in the nation is offered jointly by The Institute and Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.
